Honors for Sandra Cohen: ACEBC Fellowship

By Sandra Cohen ·

Sandra Cohen, Cohen & Buckmann’s co-founder and managing partner, will be inducted as a 2022 Fellow of the American College of Employee Benefits Counsel (ACEBC) at the College’s Annual Dinner in Chicago on September 17.

After an initial recommendation for consideration by regional screening committees, the College’s Board of Governors selects Fellows from legal experts who have a minimum of 20 years experience and have made significant contributions to the advancement of the employee benefits field. The ACEBC is a non-profit organization which inducted its first group of stand-out employee benefits attorneys in 2000 with 150 Charter Fellows and has grown to more than 400 Active, Emeritus and In Memorium Fellows.

Sandra is being recognized by ACEBC for her more than two decades of leadership in the employee benefits and employee-related legal industry, including authorizing several texts in her field and mentoring the next generation of employee benefits leaders as an adjunct professor of law at NYU. She has deep industry experience including advising hundreds of CEOs and top business executives, and other leaders from university presidents, to entertainment industry executives to financial and private equity partners. Additionally, she is known for deal-making and adept resolutions on private equity transactions, mergers and acquisitions, employment contract negotiations, and development of incentive and deferred compensation strategies.
