Irene Bassock, Senior Counsel, has practiced labor & employment law for more than 20 years, providing legal counsel to clients in senior management and human resources positions. She is experienced at handling complicated employment disputes, overseeing investigations involving workplace misconduct, and negotiating the employment aspects of corporate transactions.

Irene’s experience includes a range of services that encompasses overseeing internal investigations, helping clients minimize risks associated with reductions in workforce, collaborating with enterprise-wide teams on transactions such as acquisitions, divestitures, and outsourcing, designing and implementing training for matters involving employment law, negotiating complex executive-level employment arrangements, and managing corporate immigration programs in the United States and abroad. Irene has honed her skills over the years, enabling her to develop best practices for the most complex employment-related issues.

Irene’s prior career as in-house employment counsel for a Fortune 200 financial services company as well as her employment law practice advocating for employees, positions her to understand and advise clients on the nuanced legal risks affecting both employees and employers.

Irene also sits on the Board of Directors and Compensation Committee of Bristol Hospital in Bristol, Connecticut.
