Carol Buckmann to Discuss Collectively Bargained Benefits at New York City Bar Association Program

By Sandra Cohen ·

Cohen & Buckmann co-founder Carol Buckmann will discuss how collectively bargained pension and welfare benefits can affect corporate transactions and other business decisions at an upcoming New York City Bar Association program.

On Nov. 19, “That’s a (Possible) Dealbreaker: Collectively Bargained Benefits” will address common challenges that arise during deals, such as retiree health coverage, union pension obligations and ERISA withdrawal liability. Buckmann and her fellow panelists will share strategies for navigating these issues before they become dealbreakers.

The program will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the New York City Bar Association headquarters in Manhattan, with options to attend in person and online. It is hosted by the bar’s Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation Committee and co-sponsored by the Labor and Employment Law Committee.
